COVID-19 Updates

COVID ANNOUCEMENT 14.01.21

Update on Coronavirus 14/1/21:

Bankstown Basketball Association Response

To all members/parents/guardians & community members,

Considering the recent mandatory orders from the NSW Government the Association have made some changes to our COVID safety plan and stadium entry procedures. These will take effect from Saturday, 16th January 2021 and will remain in place until further notice:

  • All spectators and visitors will be required to register through the Service NSW QR code located at the entry of the stadium. (Junior players playing in that timeslot, learn to play students and junior rep players during training will be exempt from having to register).
  • Face masks are now COMPULSORY for all spectators/ non players to enter the stadium. The stadium will NOT be providing complimentary face masks. If you do not have a face mask you will be refused entry beyond the doors of the stadium foyer.
  • It is not mandatory for players to wear a face mask but we would encourage players/ coaches/ casual shooters wear a mask upon entry and exiting the stadium.
  • Children under the age of 12 are not required to wear a face mask.
  • Abusive behaviour or language towards staff will NOT be tolerated in anyway. You will risk being banned for an extended period if reported. Please respect the decision being dictated by NSW Health/ Government not our staff members.
  • Hand sanitiser and wipes will still be made available in the entry and on all benches and please adhere to 1.5m rule where possible.
  • Spectators:
  • Senior Competitions - Each team is allowed 3 spectators (including the coach) per team during game time.
  • Junior Competitions - 1 parent per child entry and no inclusion of siblings. Players/coach only will be allowed into the stadium directly after the previous game for warm up, then parent/ guardian can follow.
  • Casual Shooting on weekends - 30 per court.

We would thank you in advanced in assisting us keeping Bankstown Basketball Stadium as COVID-19 safe as possible and giving you peace of mind that we have your welfare at the forefront with these new procedures.

Take care and stay safe,

Christian Gobolos
