Holiday Camps

School Holiday Skills and Development Camps will be held 22 January 2024 and 23 January 2023 and are designed for children aged 5-17 years old to participate in activities including basketball and other fun activities. It’s all about engagement, making new friends, having fun and learning some new skills. There are prizes on offer at the end of the camp for skill tests and games.

Bruins Academy 4-in-1 will be held Wednesday 24 January 2024 and the Bruins Academy Open Runs will be held 25 January 2024.  More details will be uploaded next week.

This is an extremely intense program and not for everyone.  If you are not sure if this is the correct camp for you, please contact nicole@bruinsbasketball.com.au to discuss further.

Skills and Development Camp

Bruins Skills and Development program offers learn to play basketball camps for participants aged 5-17 years. These camps are fun focused an aim to introduce the basic skills of basketball.

Bruins Skills and Development camps start at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm.  Please bring with you recess and lunch, a labelled drink bottle and a labelled basketball.  Canteen facilities are available on the day, with lunch orders to be placed in the morning, before camp starts, or snacks and drinks may be purchased at recess and lunch.

The stadium will be closed to the public during these camps and children must be picked up by an adult at 3:00pm.  Charges may occur for children picked up after 3:00pm.

 

Bruins Academy 4 in One Camp

Bruins Academy is an intensive training program that aims to push athletes to the next level. Our Academy camps focus on enhancing athletes skills and applying new skills within game scenarios.

The Bruins Academy 4 in One Camp and Open Runs will run from 9am to 1pm.  These camps are intense and not suitable for everyone, if you are unsure if this is the right camp for your child, please contact Nicole to discuss.

The Bruins Academy 4 in One Camp will have 4 components – focusing on Elite Ball Handling, Post Moves, Shooting and Game Preparation.

Bruins Academy Open Runs Camp

Bruins Academy is an intensive training program that aims to push athletes to the next level. Our Academy camps focus on enhancing athletes skills and applying new skills within game scenarios.

The Bruins Academy 4 in One Camp and Open Runs will run from 9am to 1pm.  These camps are intense and not suitable for everyone, if you are unsure if this is the right camp for your child, please contact Nicole to discuss.

The Bruins Academy Open Runs will be on Thursday 25 January 2024, with players playing games in a controlled game environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Canteen services available during the camp?

The canteen will be available on our Skills & Development Camp days – Monday 22 January and Tuesday 23 January 2024. Lunch orders are to be ordered upon arrival.  Snacks can be purchased at recess and lunch.  We also have halal options available.

Are participants allowed to leave the venue?

The stadiums doors are locked once all participants have entered and only open at pick-up time. Parents must come into the venue to pick up their child. No child will be allowed to leave the venue without an adult.

How are groups selected?

Participants are split into groups initially by age and then according to experience.
